As I mentioned in this post, I’m busy with searching ideas for my “Spring wardrobe”-project this week: I want to pick my color palette, choose fabrics and decide on the garments I sew in February.

Picking the colors was the easiest part for me. I prefer Autumn colors and I plan on using mostly fabrics from my stash, so this wasn’t a critical decision at all.

My color palette: “Saxon green” (looks like the color in the coat of arms of Saxony), sunny yellow, chocolate brown, orange and olive green

Mein Ziel: 4 Kleidungsstücke in 4 Wochen

To me, deciding on a realizable amount of garments was way more difficult than choosing the colors. I definitely want to sew a simple jumper dress (1), an eyelet dress (2) and some flared pants (3). In addition, I would like to make a striped t-shirt (4) and a romper (5), but I think that five projects are too many for one month. For that reason, I want to concentrate on the dresses, the pants and the tee. Since the romper is only wearable in Summer anyway, I can delay this project a bit. There are suitable fabrics for the other four projects in my stash already, so I also don’t have to search for those anymore.

My challenge: 4 garments in 4 weeks

Next week, I will present you some sketches as well as fabric swatches and start searching for appropriate patterns. Moreover, I want to write a rough time schedule. I hope you find all of this just as exciting as I do!
