There will always be days when it’s hard to get up, mornings on which you don’t know what to wear and come into stress – but it’s good to know that you have a little “emergency plan” for times like those.

Having some basics in your wardrobe is definitely useful when trying to avoid uncreative days. With clever combinations, you can wear about everything you have in Winter as well – even your summer dresses. In my posts Winter wear and 10 wearables that help to survive winter, you find a list containing the most important basics and some ideas to fancy up boring Winter outfits. In addition, I’m sharing some tips for rainy days here. Quite often, people are only missing a few things to allow for many more combinations or making them able to finally wear clothes they’ve never had on before.

When going on vacation or having no idea what to wear at all, my outfit photos also help me – I can simply re-wear an outfit I liked or take the photo as an inspiration and change some details like accessories. In addition, it’s much easier to find out whether you really like a combination when seeing it on a picture. You could start with taking some photos of your favourite outfits (or ask someone to help you) and fix them on the inside of your closet door with duct-tape or put them up on your mood board to remind you of your most stylish combos.

When you’re bored with your wardrobe and you can’t think of new ways to wear your old clothes creatively, asking a friend for help is also great. You take a look into your own closet every single day, but a friend has a completely different point of view, so he or she might come up with ideas or combinations you would never have taken into consideration.
